Author Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in submitting to Concordia International Journal on Social Science and Humanities. Please review the following guidelines carefully to ensure your manuscript meets our requirements.
Manuscript Requirements
- Word Count: Maximum 3,000 words (excluding abstract and references)
- Format: Microsoft Word (docx)
- Line Spacing: 1.5 -spaced
- Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
- Page Numbers: Include in bottom right corner
- Headers: Include shortened title and page number
- Plagiarism Threshold: Maximum 10% similarity index
Manuscript Structure
- Title Page: Include full title, author names, affiliations, and corresponding author’s contact details
- Abstract: 150-250 words summarizing objectives, methods, findings, and conclusions
- Keywords: 4-6 keywords
- Main Text: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion/ analytical and descriptive method
- References: Chicago 17th Edition (Author-Date system)
- Tables and Figures: Submit as separate files, with clear placement indicators in text
Citation and Reference Style
Concordia International Journal on Social Science and Humanities follows the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition (Author-Date system). No footnotes or endnotes are accepted.
In-text Citations
- Single author: (Smith 2020)
- Two authors: (Smith and Jones 2020)
- Three or more authors: (Smith et al. 2020)
- Direct quotation: (Smith 2020, 45)
- Multiple citations: (Smith 2020; Jones 2019)

Submission Process
- Prepare your manuscript according to the above guidelines
- Generate a plagiarism report using Turnitin, Grammarly, or Quillbot
- Submit both your manuscript and plagiarism report through our online submission portal
- Track your submission status through your author dashboard
Review Process
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Initial editorial screening is followed by review from at least two independent experts in the field. Authors can expect a first decision within 8-10 weeks.
Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts submitted to Concordia International Journal on Social Science must be original and not previously published elsewhere. Each submission undergoes rigorous plagiarism screening using industry-standard software (Turnitin, Grammarly, or Quillbot). Manuscripts with similarity indices exceeding 10% will be returned to authors for revision or rejected.
Authors must submit a plagiarism report along with their manuscript showing a similarity index below 10%. The report should include:
- Name of plagiarism detection software used
- Overall similarity index percentage
- Date of plagiarism check
- Screenshot of result summary
Publication Fees
Concordia International Journal on Social Science and Humanities does nominal charge for submission or publication fees.
